| El objetivo del presente estudio fue conocer el potencial nutricional para la alimentación animal de cinco especies de Lupinus (L. montanus, L. exaltatus, L. campestris, L. hintonii, y Lupinus sp.). Plantas completas en floración (componente follaje) y fructificación (componentes: vainas y semillas) fueron recolectadas en la Región de Valles y Libres del Serdán, Puebla, durante julio y agosto de 2010, a una altitud entre 2486 y 3442 m. | ABSTRACT The aim of this work was to estimate the genetic divergence among Passifloraaccessions based on morphophysiological seed characteristics. Accessions were distributed in a completely randomized design, with four replicates of 25 seeds. Data were submitted to analysis of variance and the means grouped by the Scott-Knott method. The genetic diversity was studied according to the Tocher and UPGMA grouping method based on the Mahalanobis distance (D2) and Canonical Variables. In the cluster analyzes, four groups were formed by the UPGMA and Canonical Variables methods. | Studies on cooperative care of offspring in callitrichid primates are biased in favor of observations in captivity. In the wild, however, individuals have to deal with environmental pressures, which may influence their social behavior. We compared the individual effort attributed to parental care offered by members of a wild group (couple, plus a subadult helper) and two captive groups (A: couple, plus an subadult helper, B: couple, plus four adult helpers) of the buffy-tufted-ear marmoset, Callithrix aurita, from weeks 1-12 after the infants' birth. | ABSTRACT The pelvimetry consists of the metric determination of the pelvis dimensions and its use is directly related to the reproduction. The cartilage closure time of the ossification centers varies according to the bone, some closing already in the uterine life and others remaining present for many years. The objective was to evaluate, radiographically, the pelvic diameters by pelvimetry during the first 24 months of life in pacas, the second lagest Brazilian rodent and an animal that has shown big recent scientific interest, aiming the estimated age determination.
